Your Ride to Recovery Plan

Ride to Recovery training camps are hosted by Bikestyle Tours and will cover the most important aspects of cycling and training.

Our trip starts with staff meeting you at Gold Coast airport at 11 am. It is only a short drive to our hotel in the heart of the Gold Coast and a short walk from the beach. For those arriving a day or two earlier, Bikestyle Tours can arrange a pre-trip accommodation on the Gold Coast. Soon after arriving at our hotel, we will assemble our bicycles and head out for a short warm-up ride to check our bikes, cover group riding skills and etiquette which we will need for the weekend.

After returning from the ride you will learn the “hows and why” of periodisation of training.
We will celebrate the start of our trip together at a local restaurant.

Border Ride

Our ride today will see us head over of the border for an amazing and challenging ride. We will combine today’s ride with several training elements we learnt yesterday to hone our skills. The ride will include group efforts, individual efforts and skill development (descending and climb) plus there will be time to enjoy the spectacular coastline. Our focus for today is to learn “how to train” and the basic building blocks to construct a detailed training plan.

In the afternoon we will hold a seminar on nutrition to get the most out of your training.

Gold Coast Hinterland

Ride to recovery, training camps for cyclists

Today will explore one of the many rides in the Gold Coast Hinterland. Our ride today will see us climb one of our favourite rides up to Springbrook, a gentle 8km climb with spectacular views of the Gold Coast Hinterland. We will enjoy a great descent back to our hotel. Staff will be on hand to assist with packing your bike in preparation for your trip home.

After our ride we will hold a Q & A session before wrapping up the weekend.
We will provide a single transfer back to Gold Coast airport at 3pm.

Trips have a minimum of 3 participants to proceed.
Guests will have the option to reschedule or receive a full refund if the trip is cancelled by Bikestyle Tours due to insufficient numbers.
We encourage you to take our ‘private trip’ option and share your experience with your cycling mates.

Ride Details

Planned rides are between 3 and 4 hours in length, with undulating terrain. Guests should have the ability for maintaining an average of at least 25 kph on a flat ride, for more than 2 hours. This trip is designed for intermediate and advanced cyclists.

Our rides put to work the training theory of our private workshops, helping you to improve your cycling techniques and super charge your cycling performance.

Each ride focuses on specific cycling technique and fitness goals, for you to understand and apply in your regular training.

During each ride you will have our full attention. These rides are all about you!
